Every story has two journeys: the one readers experience on the page, and the one the author takes to get there ...
In this Client Spotlight, I'm introducing you to one of the talented writers I've had the pleasure of working with. You'll discover their latest book, learn a little about their creative journey, and hopefully find your next great read along the way.

Today, I'm excited to introduce Matthew Gill and his military space opera, Exodus to the Stars.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR ✍️
Matt writes character-driven military space opera. His stories take place in the Universe of UCEF, an expansive setting where the alien perspectives take centre stage and the actions of heroic individuals shape the known galaxy.
He is a research chemist by day, a dad all the time, and a writer somewhere in-between.
Expect aliens, thoughtful world building, grounded science, high-stakes action, and a healthy dose of intrigue. His first publication is the short story ‘Exodus To The Stars’, with a debut novel planned for late 2026.
ABOUT THE BOOK 📖
Captain Blazeward survived The Cull, the merciless invasion that shattered his civilisation, yet now faces an impossible decision. Torn between staying to fight for his homeworld or protecting those he leads by abandoning it, he must wrestle with the burden of command and choose what future he truly desires for his kin...
Enjoy a punchy sci-fi short story filled with aliens, emotion, and a twist that will stay with you long after the final page. This is the first tale in the Universe of UCEF, a sprawling military space opera where the alien perspectives take centre stage and the actions of heroic individuals shape the known galaxy.
Read on. A conflict like no other awaits…
A story filled with a battle between heart and duty alongside deep worldbuilding, if you enjoy military space operas this one deserves a spot on your shelves - available on Amazon.

Stories are always better when they are shared. If today's spotlight introduced you to a new author, I'd love for you to support their work.
If you're writing a novel of your own, I hope seeing another writer's journey reminds you that every finished book starts with a messy first draft and they you don't have to tackle the editing process alone.
Until next time ✨
